El Barrio opened in 2014 as a neighborhood bar on Main Street in Guerneville. In 2021, new ownership took over with a single focus: build the best agave bar in Sonoma County.
"I fell in love with mezcal on a trip to Oaxaca in 2005. When El Barrio came up for sale, I saw a chance to bring that inspiration to the Russian River. We stripped the menu down and rebuilt it around the spirits I couldn't stop thinking about." - Jimmy K, Owner
Today we carry over 30 mezcals & 40 tequilas, plus a curated bourbon & whiskey selection. Every cocktail uses fresh juice and house-made syrups. The food is delicious, made in-house, & designed to go with your cocktail of choice.
